Myopia Care Plan Children at Boatman’s Optical

Myopia (short-sightedness) is increasingly common in children and often worsens as they grow. Higher levels of myopia can increase the risk of eye health problems later in life.
At Boatman’s Optical, we offer a structured Myopia Care Plan to help monitor your child’s vision and manage how quickly their prescription changes. The below plan is for spectacles.
What is Myopia Management?
Myopia management involves:
- Regular monitoring of your child’s vision
- Specially designed lenses to help slow progression
- Ongoing support as your child’s eyes develop
Early intervention can make a meaningful difference to long-term eye health.
Our Myopia Care Plan – Essilor Stellest 2.0 Spectacle Lenses
Our plan is designed to make treatment simple, consistent, and accessible.
£30 per month
Minimum 12-month commitment
What’s Included
- Eye examinations every 6 months
- Priority booking
- All emergency appointments covered
Glasses & Treatment
- Lenses updated if prescription changes by 0.50 or more every 6 months.
- Or Lenses are updated at least once per year
- Glasses must be worn as advised and kept in good condition
Consistent wear and regular reviews are key to effective treatment.
Additional Benefits
- Replacement glasses available for £85 if lost
- Any scratches effecting the vision the lenses are covered under the warranty of the plan and will be replaced
- 50% off myopia control sunglasses
- £50 frame upgrade credit
Trying the Treatment – 30 Day Adaptation Period
We understand that adapting to new lenses can take time.
- We will review and adjust the glasses if needed
- If your child is unable to tolerate them, glasses can be returned within 30 days
- The plan can be cancelled within this period if required
